A wonderful small community performance venue, that offers indoor and outdoor shows, a comedy club and the Frome Film Club on the second Sunday of each month, for screenings of unusual and arthouse movies. In the summer months outdoor performances often take place in the amphitheatre, built as an art installation in the grounds of Frome Community College.

One of the prime music and entertainment venues in the south west: the Cheese and Grain has even hosted the Foo Fighters for a warm-up gig for Glastonbury Festival! This large event hall has an impressive stage and audience auditorium, accompanied by a well-stocked bar for pre-concert and interval drinks. 

The building is a converted nineteenth century market hall originally built to trade cheese and grain supplied via the adjacent Radstock railway line, and very fittingly the venue is still home to a myriad of colourful food and craft markets today (see p9). The Cheese and Grain Café is also open daily 9am – 3pm for barista-style coffee, breakfasts, cakes, paninis and pasties to enjoy while market shopping.

The Cheese Lord is joined at The Station by culinary legends: The Rye Bakery, Lungi Babas, and Owen's Sausages & Hams. This eclectic mix of businesses offers a range of food and drinks with entertainment scheduled throughout the summer months.

Music commences at 7pm so get down early to grab yourself a drink and some grub.
